If required, an ENCX dongle can include an OEM key. This makes the dongle dependent on the OEM as well as the user's hardware.
This ensures that if your customer has two ENCX based products provided by you and a different company, then the dongle supplied by the other provider would not enable the software supplied by you.

Note however that the ENC User Permit is usually sufficient protection, as it ties any purchased ENC permits to a particular manufacturer's display system.
